Synopsis

Samantha Berger, a bartender in a New York comedy club, would like to do stand-up comedy herself, but fears hostility because she’s fat; instead she writes material for others. When Jennie, who is attractive but not so smart, sees a career opportunity, Samantha helps Jennie pretend to have written the material herself… but the deception becomes more involved as matters turn to romance.
